This is a maquette (study model) of a Ralph McQuarrie Snowspeeder, which in this instance was one of many design illustrations. I found this version striking for it’s wider stance, the use of color in the illustration, and how the wings break up along the guns on either side. This was made in preparation for a much larger model, as I wanted to check my interpretation of the angles and fit/finish. It is 1/48th scale, and was a fun build. The larger one will be fancier with lights, and will benefit greatly from this build.
